Now that we’ve decided to move together we have an enormous amount to do in preparation for transplant to another country.  To that end I thought it would be interesting to record how we do in our preparation and transition to Dublin.  We have a thousand questions to answer, and here I’ll record what it takes to get overseas, and most likely a lot of what not to do as well.

Today we started on our list, looking for information from the Irish embassy on what we will need to immigrate over, including information on our health insurance, finances/bank accounts, tax information, customs/duties practices, residency, work/student visas and green cards, housing agencies, employment agencies, etc….   quite a laundry list of fun paperwork to look forward to I must say….

We found that there is an Irish consulate in the Tabor Center downtown, and we headed over there to talk to someone in person.  The consulate here wasn’t very helpful, providing only citizenship information, but they were able to point us to the general consulate in San Francisco, and we’ll be calling them on Wednesday, since they only operate in the morning MWF (making it oh so easy….).

We started consolidating our questions into lists and we believe we have a good start on the places to go.  We’ve got plans to talk to banks, real estate agents, health insurance, and the embassy in the near future!

We are getting super excited for our adventure, and can’t wait until we actually start traveling and have more interesting stories to share.  Until then, let’s see what it takes to move to another country….

It’s been a while since I  last posted, sorry about that.  Life has been incredibly busy recently though, all of it in a good way!  I’ve spent the last 4 months working to build InterACT LLC, and it’s two initial divisions; InterACT Innovations and InterACT Technology Services.  I don’t think I’ve had an education like the one I’ve gone through recently ever before!

InterACT LLC is finally filed and organized within Colorado and the US, which caused some headaches at the restructuring we had to do, having already created InterACT Innovations and InterACT Technology Services as separate entities.  But hindsight is 20/20 and we’ve remedied our mistakes to create a well defined and elegant corporate structure.  It makes me laugh to look back at just earlier this year and think of how different things are now; I have a whole team of lawyers, business bankers, and two incredible colleagues who have been instrumental in implementing our vision.

We’ve been lucky enough to receive a significant investment that has allowed us to focus full-time on building a customer base and organization, and  we’ve recently seen the fruits of our labors begin to come in.  We’ve been able to secure a great relationship with Nexaira Inc., and we’ve been helping them with the design and manufacturing of new telecommunications devices.  It’s been really amazing getting to know the company and working with their Chinese counterparts; we should see a lot of business from them moving forward and we’re really excited to show off our talents and creativity!  InterACT Technology Services has recently begun a holiday marketing campaign which has resulted in a sharp rise in business, and our customers are responding really well to our 24/7 and Emergency support services, it’s been so much fun getting out there and meeting new people and growing our network.
